What types of WOOD are available?
We typically use Walnut, Cherry, and Maple as our primary woods and Ash or Poplar as secondary “unseen” wood. Although we receive frequent requests to use many different types of hardwoods.
 

What types of FINISHES are available?
For our Studio furniture we like to use many layers of a hand-rubbed combination of linseed oil, tung oil, and polyurethane varnish. The last coat includes a carnauba wax. For some of our children’s furniture we prefer to use a more durable polyurethane shell for when “kids will be kids”!

 
How can I order CUSTOM DESIGN furniture?
The initial stage of the project is to just talk on the phone or in person about what you are looking for in your space. We can discuss what your requirements are for the project and any of the design elements that you hope to have incorporated into the piece. The easy start to the process is to contact us, and we can talk about your needs! 

 
How can I order PORTFOLIO DESIGN furniture?
Portfolio designs have already been designed and previously produced. Although each piece is still built by hand, the “design” stage is removed from the process so products can be turned around faster and at greater savings to the consumer. Special requests, like utilizing a different wood type or finish, are perfectly acceptable, although may affect the price. Purchasing Portfolio Designed products is easy, write down the title of the piece you are interested in, and contact us!
